The 2018 Baltimore Comic*Con is taking place September 28-30 and I’ll be attending. The reasons this convention appeals to me are twofold: a great list of AE creators and a comic-centric show focus. Here’s the list of AE-related creators attending:

As you can see it’s a power line-up for sure. I’m bringing a suitcase of AE format books to get signed and am limiting myself to one per creator. That’s a tough choice for Miller, Rusell and Simonson. I already have had about half the list sign my books but hope to get the rest this weekend. So if you see a guy wheeling around a suitcase full of Artist’s Editions it’s me.
Because these books are so heavy I’m interested in who just signs them and who adds a bit of flourish to the book. I know it can be based on time and the length of the line, but as with everything on this site I strive to get as much information as possible and let the reader act on it.
My other focus is talking with the creators and getting their thoughts on the AE format and what impact having one or more done of their work has had. We’ll see! Full report next week.
