In the DC Entertainment Direct Channel newsletter 10-17-2018, issue #1423 the following was announced.

| DC will resolicit THE SANDMAN: OVERTURE GALLERY EDITION HC. All current orders placed under item code MAY180599 will be cancelled. |
The book was solicited in April 2018 for an October 2018 release but was changed earlier this month to “TBD” and now this announcement yesterday.
To be resolicited isn’t a complete cancellation, more like your parents saying “we’ll see”.
