Boule et Bill is the flagship series of Jean Roba who drew it for decades, constantly renewing it, with complete discretion! An exceptional fidelity to a series and to a mechanism – the one-panel gag – from which this Franco-Belgian comics giant has almost never deviated throughout his entire career. And what can we say about the incredible popularity acquired by Boule et Bill and its twenty-five million albums sold, which has never wavered and continues today through its covers and adaptations. Roba and Boule and Bill participated strongly in the golden age of the Spirou newspaper and the Marcinelle school, alongside Franquin, Morris, Peyo, Tillieux and a few others. The first sixty gags of this ode to simple, family and idealized happiness are, for the first time, published by reproducing the original plates in facsimiles, in the original format!
