One of the AE format innovations was the scanning of original art as colour images to reproduce blue pencil marks, corrections, and notes made by the creatives. Most of the reproduced pages have been comics created to be coloured for reproduction. How about an AE collection of artwork that was intended to be reproduced in black and white?
This one is a little different as I’m listing story names, artist, and the black and white magazine it appeared in. Ideally these would be presented with others in a collection, or on their own in the old Artist’s Edition Portfolio format. If you’re not familiar with the story you owe it to yourself to highlight the name and search the internet.
